School pupils

The perfect mix of theory and practical experience: a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems or Computer Science combined with a work placement at ALDI DX. From the very first day, you will work on (inter-)national projects, learn hands-on content in the areas of IT and business administration and put theory directly into practice in our departments. You will master the theoretical basics at our partner university, FOM Düsseldorf. Below are some examples of what you can expect to learn:

Three days a week, you will support your ALDI DX team on site and apply your knowledge in practice. The aim is to graduate with an internationally recognised Bachelor of Science degree after seven semesters. Following graduation, you may be offered a position in our company. What you bring with you? A university entrance certificate or advanced technical diploma with good marks, along with enthusiasm for IT and business topics. In return, we offer an attractive remuneration package of EUR 1,650 gross per month in the first year, EUR 1,750 in the second year and EUR 1,950 from the third year onwards, including holiday and Christmas bonuses. You will also receive additional training tailored to your needs.

A dual work-study programme in cooperation with FOM Düsseldorf offers the perfect mix of theory and practice. The programme will give you the opportunity to get to know the International Buying department and other business areas of the ALDI SÜD Group, thereby contributing to and developing your enthusiasm for IT and its application in business administration. Your tasks will include the following, among others:

• Assuming organisational responsibility for a selected non-food product area
• Collaborating with international suppliers and service providers as well as national buying teams and internal service departments
• Gathering price information and reviewing quotations as well as preparing and following up on contract negotiations
• Monitoring products throughout the entire buying process as well as creating and reviewing process documents
• Presenting products and submitting recommendations for action in consultation with your line manager
• Taking on project-specific tasks

The course lets you get to know ALDI DX and other business areas of the ALDI SÜD Group and, consequently, to contribute and continue developing your enthusiasm for information technology and its application in business administration. In the key training area of IT – Application Development, you will learn about developing and implementing software solutions, including programming languages such as Java and C#. You will support the team in implementing storage solutions and operating our IT systems. Your apprenticeship generally takes 2.5 years, with a working week of 37.5 hours. Every four to five weeks there is a two-week training block at Heinz Nixdorf Vocational College in Essen. What you bring with you? A secondary school leaving certificate, university entrance certificate or advanced technical diploma with good marks.

If you decide to pursue an apprenticeship with us, you will also receive attractive remuneration. You will receive a gross salary of EUR 1,250 per month in the first year of the apprenticeship, EUR 1,350 in the second year and EUR 1,500 from the third year onwards.

The apprenticeship in IT Data and Process Analysis lets you get to know ALDI DX and other business areas at ALDI SÜD. During your apprenticeship, you will be involved in topics such as the analysis and optimisation of IT processes in an international environment. You will discover how to identify and prepare data and work together with application developers. Your apprenticeship generally takes 2.5 years, your working time is 37.5 hours per week. Every four to five weeks there is a two-week training block at Heinz Nixdorf Vocational College in Essen. What you bring with you? A secondary school leaving certificate, university entrance certificate or advanced technical diploma with good marks.

In this apprenticeship, you will learn about a variety of tasks in our International Buying department, such as:

• Learning business and organisational tasks in the purchasing process
• Communicating with internal and external customers and suppliers in German and English
• Providing support in the planning, implementation and controlling of projects
• Preparing statistics and analyses in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Getting to know different teams in our international Administration department, e.g. HR or Finance

Your apprenticeship generally takes 2.5 years, with a working week of 37.5 hours. You will work in our team three days a week and spend two days a week at the Lehnerstrasse Vocational College in Mülheim an der Ruhr for the theoretical portion of the apprenticeship programme.
