As a UI/UX designer, you specialise in the development of user-friendly interfaces. Your work focuses on creating intuitive user experiences for the users of our digital products (e.g. web, mobile, digital displays) and continuously optimising them. Here, you’ll approach your work from a creative and analytical perspective based on user feedback, market needs and industry best practices.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Conducting user research, developing personas and mapping user journeys
- Creating product concepts, storyboards, interaction designs, sitemaps, screen flows, UI mockups, prototypes and complete applications and making sure these are scalable
- Organising workshops with users and stakeholders to identify user needs and requirements, test design options and gather feedback
- Keeping up to date on the latest developments in UX/UI technologies and trends
- Creating clear design visions for the product as well as deriving principles and guidelines
- Using and contributing to existing design systems, guidelines and standards (e.g. fonts, colours, images) defined by ALDI’s corporate identity and other standards, and sharing design standards within the design community
Ideally, you have the following:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with users, stakeholders and the product team
- Analytical and user-centric mindset with the ability to conduct user research and utilise these insights for brand-compliant design
- Extensive professional experience in graphic and UI/UX design for digital products
- In-depth experience with graphic design and prototyping software tools, web and mobile technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS), and visual design fundamentals (e.g. typography, layout)
- Ability to transfer a brand into the digital world and make its values and attitudes tangible in all its components
