Questions about job applications
If you are applying as a career starter or experienced professional, we’ll need the following documents: your CV and leaving certificate for the highest educational level completed (e.g. apprenticeship, bachelor’s/master’s degree) or your current transcript (with grades) if you don’t have the final certificate yet. We also need your employer references and relevant certificates. If you are a secondary school student, we need your CV and your school-leaving certificate. If you don’t have your school-leaving certificate yet, you can submit your current transcript instead.
You’ll receive an automatic confirmation from us as soon as we receive your application documents. Please wait a few minutes before you check your inbox. Be sure to also check your spam folder, just in case. If you’ve registered with us, you’ll then be able to check the current status of your application in your user profile.
No, that’s not necessary. You’re welcome to submit your application in German. This will not affect the rest of the application process.
You can generally apply for several jobs at the same time. However, we recommend that you prioritise the jobs you’d like to apply for and limit the number to five positions. This is because the applications are processed one after another (not at the same time). If more than one job ad has caught your eye and you’d like to apply for all of them, you’ll need to submit your documents for each individual job. However, you can do this via just one application profile: after registering, you can apply for all your favourite jobs. This way we can ensure that your application is forwarded directly to the relevant ALDI DX colleagues.
We’ve summarised exactly how our application process works on this page.
Generally speaking, our HR department will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the next steps. We’ll take an in-depth look at your application. If your profile isn’t a good match for the position, we’ll let you know via e-mail and thus bring the application process to an end.
Congratulations! We were impressed by your application and would like to get to know you better! In order to get a first impression, we’ll invite you to an initial virtual meeting with one of our recruiters. The next step after this is an interview with the department. The aim of the face-to-face interview is to find out whether we are suited to each other. There’s no need to worry – the atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed and approached as a two-way conversation.
After the interview, we’ll be happy to reimburse the travel costs from your place of residence (i.e. the address stated in your application documents) to our office in Mülheim an der Ruhr as follows: if you travel by public transport, we’ll reimburse the cost of a second-class rail ticket (there and back) – remember to save your ticket so that you can submit it! For journeys with your own car, if the trip to our office is 25km or more, we’ll reimburse you a flat rate of EUR 0.30 per kilometre travelled (there and back). If your journey is longer and requires a flight booking and/or accommodation, please coordinate this with us in advance.
Changed your mind or perhaps you’ve already found another position in the meantime? That’s a shame! But it’s not a problem. You can withdraw your application via your applicant profile. If you’re already further in the application process, please get in touch with your HR contact.
We have a variety of vacancies, so there’s bound to be one that suits you. Of course, we also keep the big picture in mind. With your permission, we may also forward your application to colleagues who are advertising other suitable positions.
We look forward to receiving your application. If you are hired, our team will be at your side during the entire (re-location) process to provide support.
We don’t offer a trainee programme in IT. But you can get to know us in other ways – for example, you can write your bachelor’s or master’s as a working student here in IT. We regularly offer work placements for students. And if you already have your degree in your hand, just jump straight in!
Unfortunately, we do not work with freelancers on a project basis.
