As an Enterprise Architect, you create and manage one of the largest enterprise architectures in the industry, continuously guiding and navigating stakeholders through the challenges of digital transformation. As an Enterprise Architect, networking and collaboration come naturally to you. You are passionate about analytical approaches and the use of enterprise architecture methodologies. You also understand how business strategies and capabilities can potentially impact the enterprise architecture.

Your responsibilities are: 

  • Defining key guiding principles and policies for the entire organisation so that we fulfil our core architectural principles.
  • Continually developing and updating our ALDI SÜD target architecture
  • Taking responsibility for the overall vision for ALDI’s business and IT landscape today and in the future
  • Aligning the various (project) roadmaps by providing guidelines and best practices in order to strike a balance between best-in-class and feasibility
  • Providing an end-to-end view of business-oriented, strategic, technical and architectural matters
  • Defining and reporting KPIs that measure compliance with the architecture specifications, as well as identifying possible improvements and monitoring success
  • Enabling close collaboration across our entire organisation

Ideally, you match the following profile: 

  • University degree in economics, computer science, the natural sciences or engineering
  • Professional experience (approx. 4–8 years) and proven commitment in the field of enterprise architecture
  • Profound methodological knowledge of enterprise architectures
  • Industry expertise in the retail sector as well as some knowledge of specialist areas and solution development (solutioning)
  • Analytical mindset and structured working style
  • Very good communication skills, which you apply equally at top management and employee level
  • Natural talent in networking to drive tasks and projects forward
  • Flexibility and confidence to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Fluency in English
