As a Business/Domain Architect at ALDI DX you will act as a problem solver, negotiator, decision maker, networker and communicator all in one. You will mediate, communicate and negotiate between the regions, departments and teams involved. Together with your colleagues and the system integrators, you will work on the design and implementation of IT solutions that enable the success of the individual areas while ensuring the security of ALDI SÜD’s enterprise architecture.
Your responsibilities are:
- Designing the current and future IT landscape of ALDI SÜD
- Drafting and implementing solutions for your domain
- Negotiating and mediating between different interest groups
- Constantly exchanging with your colleagues (Enterprise & Solution Architects and Domain Experts)
- Aligning requirements and obligations with the overall architecture
- Navigating all participants through the challenges of digital change
As a Business Architect or Domain Architect you have the opportunity to be responsible for one of the following fields of activity:
- Assortment: Our Assortment team aims to efficiently implement processes for assortment management, product development and the supplier life cycle throughout our application landscape.
- Customer Interaction: Our Customer Interaction team aims to implement processes for online trade, customer service and marketing throughout our application landscape in the best possible way.
- Finance & Administration: The main focus of our Finance & Administration team is on improving financial processes such as financial planning and reporting, controlling and consolidation.
- Logistics: Our Logistics team is responsible for implementing and improving the storage and transport processes applied in our application landscape.
- Purchasing: In the Purchasing team, our focus is on improving our systems and processes for purchase planning and replenishment management with a view to integrating these processes in our future IT landscape.
- Store Operations: Our Store Operations team aims to improve the efficiency of our employees and the customer experience in ALDI stores. This includes improving the digital processes applied in our stores, such as till systems or warehouse and inventory management.
Ideally, you match the following profile:
- University degree with a focus on computer science, economics, natural or engineering sciences
- Keen interest in technical and digital topics
- Comprehensive knowledge of processes and applications
- Experience in the retail industry
- Communication skills to drive decision making and results
- Flexibility, which enables you to handle a rapidly changing environment
- Networking mentality and ability to work in a team
